Musical fun!

On Saturday 18th February, Peter Page, one of our own, our very own basses,  gave a fascinating talk about his expedition to Everest.  Accompanied by some outstanding slides, he gave a talk which invited the audience to share the varying emotions of the experience: anticipation, hardship, tragedy, admiration, success, humour ... but above all, excitement!

THANK YOU Peter .. here are a few pictures of the event, taken before the webmistress had mastered the manual capacities of the digital camera.  (It wasn't really this dark!!)

We tuck in to a lovely meal prior to the talk.  (Webmistresses' guests get there first ..!)
Heather, Christine, Zena and John in their favourite place ... (where's Pat?)
Elaine and David .. an invaluable couple in the choir!
Eleanor and Mike share a joke.  (Mike in a quiet sort of a way)
What a nice photo of Helena and Roger! (tho' I say it myself!)
Still in the kitchen ...where is Pat?
Gossipping with Trish ...
Mandy looking as elegant as ever ... other tables below ...

She just can't help singing ...!
Peter getting ready to speak ...
Peter in full flow ...
An enraptured audience!

THANKS PETER - AND THANKS TO OUR OWN CATERERS! - WE HAD A GREAT EVENING!
