Social Sing-along 2007!

Tonight, West Horsley Village Hall ... Tomorrow, Broadway?

Inspired by Elaine's brilliant idea to have a Sound of Music Sing-along, Helen went into over-drive and press-ganged various long-suffering members of her friends and family circle into preparing the audiovisual and kinaesthetic aspects of the evening, while Pauline, Heather and Christine did wonders on the venue and refreshment aspects.

Above all, it is a credit to the friendliness and compassion of the choir that they and their friends indulged Helen (self-appointed MC), and joined in cheerfully, musically and with gusto!

If you want to do your own 'singalong', there are hyperlinks to the resources we created.  Click here to see/download the 'flashcards' and click on pictures to get documents which you can cut up.  References on the web are collected on a document here.

Own choice for next year's Leith Hill: Eidelweiss ...???!! (Well, why not?!)

Helen believes she is Maria (thanks to her mum and dad who took her to London to see the film for her 8th birthday and did a preview singalong last month!!!!!) Jean is a rather dazzling  Mother Superior (Technician David in the background!)
